It’s that time again! Last year I put together my top 10 workouts of 2021, which I know many of you enjoyed, so this year I decided to do it again! In my top 10 workouts of 2022 I’ve included lots of strength-based workouts as well as some cardio, HIIT and Tabata.
As I’ve said many times before, the most important thing when it comes to exercise is to find workouts you enjoy, so that you can maintain consistency. If you try out some of my personal favourites below, I’d love to hear what you think of them!
1. Mega Muscle HIIT – Strength & HIIT Workout
As a strength lover, this 35 minute workout was by far my favourite workout of the year. I love repeat sets for strength and muscle building, as it’s super effective and really fatigues the muscle (in a good way!). In this format we stay on the same exercise for 4 sets but alternate between light and heavy dumbbells, which really brings the burn🔥.
2. Super Sweaty Strength & Cardio Workout – 3-2-1 HIIT Circuit
This format is so much fun! 3 strength exercises, followed by 2 cardio exercises with a single ab exercise to finish the circuit out. Repeat 2 x through for the ultimate 40 minute sweat session that leaves you feeling really good about yourself for all your hard work! 😊
3. High Intensity Strength Pyramid – Advanced Weight Training At Home
This is another physically demanding strength workout that uses a pyramid format to build muscle and work your entire body, in only 35 minutes. With this workout, you’ll work in an ascending and then descending time scheme using just 1 heavy dumbbell. This one promises to test you!💪
4. 45 Min No Repeat Birthday HIIT
Whoo hoo! Earlier this year I created a fun 45 minute total full body workout packed with all of my favourite exercises, like snatches, burpees and deadlifts. This one has to make my top 10 list! It was a great way to celebrate my 42nd birthday, I hope you like it!
5. Full Body Dumbbell Strength Workout
This is a great 55 minute strength workout if you like targeting specific muscle groups (and you’ll definitely feel sore tomorrow!). For this one, we work across 6 circuits: 2 lower body, 2 upper body, and 2 core circuits. If you want a well rounded total body strength routine, this one’s for you😘.
6. 40 MIN Total Body Calorie Sizzler -40/30/20 HIIT
7.30 MIN Full Body Barbell Workout
If you have a barbell, don’t let it turn to rust in your garage! Instead, try this 30 minute full body barbell workout with me. I love working out with my barbell, as it makes me feel strong and powerful. This workout is packed full of all my favourite barbell exercises💪.
8. All Standing Dumbbell Workout – High Intensity Strength Training
Sometimes you just don’t want to get up and down off the floor. Am I right or am I right?! You’ll love this one if you’re a fan of strength and cardio workouts. I’ve formatted this one into 8 supersets that combine one strength move with one cardio move. It keeps things interesting while getting great results😎.
9. Quick HIIT | Full Body No Repeat Weights & Body Weight
This 20 minute HIIT workout is a recent addition to the channel, but a stand out for me because of its long work sets (60 secs) and shorter rest (10 secs) intervals. So while it’s a shorter workout, it’s max effort! I used big compound movements and moderately heavy dumbbells so you can move quickly and get plenty of bang for your buck. Perfect if you’re strapped for time or want a fun finisher to add on to a strength workout💪.
10. 15 MIN Fun Tabata HIIT Workout | No Equipment No Repeat
Another great workout for when you’re strapped for time, but still want to feel accomplished! 15 minutes of pure joy with fun Tabata songs! Shorty and sweaty
