If you’re looking for a strength reset for women over 40, this is the one. Maybe you’ve fallen out of your rhythm. Life got busy, training slipped, and now starting again feels harder than it should.

Here’s what I want you to know. You’re not behind, and you don’t need to start from scratch. You just need a reset.

Here’s exactly what that looks like.

You don’t need to start over, you need a reset

The all or nothing approach is what catches most women out. You miss a week, then two, and it starts to feel like you have to claw your way back to where you were. So you either throw yourself into something punishing, or you put it off because the gap feels too big.

A reset is different. It’s a short, structured block of training that rebuilds your strength and your momentum at the same time. No punishment. No making up for lost time. Just a clear plan that meets you where you are and moves you forward.

What is the Strong Reset?

Strong Reset is a 4-week plan built to get you strong and consistent again. Five sessions a week: three full body strength days, including one that’s knee friendly, and two conditioning days. Rest days are built in, not an afterthought.

Every workout is a full length follow along. You open the calendar, press play, and train with me. No guessing what to do or how to put it together. That part’s already done.

Why strength comes first over 40

After 40, strength training isn’t optional. As we age we naturally lose muscle, and muscle is what keeps your metabolism working, your bones strong and your body capable. The more lean muscle you hold onto, the better your body handles everything else, including the hormonal shifts of perimenopause.

That’s why this plan is built around strength first. Not endless cardio. Not punishing yourself in the name of progress. Smart, progressive strength work that builds you up.

Here’s what one of the full body strength sessions looks like:

Why conditioning, not endless cardio

The two conditioning days are short and intentional. They raise your heart rate, build your fitness and add variety, without leaving you wrecked for days. That’s the whole point. The conditioning supports your strength work, it doesn’t compete with it.

You should finish these sessions feeling worked, but capable. Energised, not exhausted.

Why 4 weeks is enough to feel the shift

Four weeks of showing up with a plan does more than four months of random workouts. When the decisions are already made for you, all that’s left is to turn up. That’s where consistency comes from, and consistency is what actually changes your body.

By the end of the four weeks you’ll feel stronger, move better and trust your body again. More than that, you’ll have your rhythm back.

Strong Reset FAQ

How many days a week is it?

Five training days and two rest days each week. Three full body strength sessions and two conditioning sessions.

Do I need a gym?

No. A set of dumbbells and a small amount of space is all you need. You can do the whole thing at home.

I’m a beginner. Is this for me?

Yes. Every workout can be scaled to where you are. Start lighter, take the modifications, and build from there. The plan grows with you.

How is this different from Lean Over 40?

They’re two doors into the same room. Lean Over 40 leans toward fat loss with more variety in the conditioning. Strong Reset leads with strength and rebuilding your rhythm. Pick the one that matches what you want right now. They’re parallel programs, not a sequence, so you can start with either.
